Identification of hazards
How do you identify potential causes and effects of risks in your company?
Identifying hazards comes from raised consciousness of risk. Hazards include, for example, product liability (product recalls), environmental impairment, personal accidents and fire. In this second step of the process, potential causes of these hazards in the company and their various possible repercussions are systematically identified. The important question is: “what can happen?"
Strict differentiation of recognized causes and effects is therefore crucial, because these act as criteria for comparing various situations.
