Your Zurich Trainee Program

Our modular program gives you the option of gathering insights into operational and strategic roles within our business model and discovering your strengths in the course of 18 months. You can expect meaningful work and real responsibility, which will help you to grow in your career.

Phase 1 – Onboarding in your specialist area

In September, we will welcome you with the ZTP Welcome Week at Zurich Switzerland. You will get to know our company and the industry and make initial contacts with other trainees. Your individual learning journey in your selected specialist area will then begin. Professionally supervised, you will assume responsibility for your own tasks and get to know important interfaces in the company. You can engage in exchanges on your new impressions and insights with the other trainees at community events. This creates space for the creation of genuine friendships.

Phase 2 – Stages in operational and distribution-related roles

Apart from your selected specialist area, you can get to know other areas. Several stages in operational and distribution-related roles form the basis for your broadly-based training. You assume responsibility for insurance activities and acquire an understanding for the strategic concerns of Zurich Switzerland and the diversity of our services and products. As the "CEO of your career", you have a share in deciding what stages are most valuable for you.

 Phase 3 – Stage in a strategic-conceptional role

The Zurich Trainee Program is designed to enable you to grow professionally and personally and further develop your skills. This is why you get to know strategic-conceptional roles in the third phase and can gather experience in implementing strategic initiatives and in interdepartmental cooperation. A mix of mandatory and elective courses in the four subject areas - World of Insurance, Customer Experience, Future of Work and Lead Yourself - ensure you control the direction of your personal development journey.

 Phase 4 – Specialization

During the specialization phase, you develop expertise in the corresponding department. You have the opportunity to assume specialist responsibility and cooperate in projects. In this final phase, we also review what options exist for a permanent position in which you can contribute your passion and strengths and develop further. During the entire program, there is a mentor at your side, who supports you in important decisions.

Would you like to join our team?
