Insurance or general business training?

Regardless of whether you have a high school graduation certificate or a vocational qualification, if you’re interested in the exciting world of insurance, then you’re in the right place with us.

Post-high-school business training

Requirement: high school graduation certificate

  • Who? For high school graduates wanting to enter professional life. Those who did not finish their university degree are also welcome.
  • What? Six months of business training at the Kaderschule and business internship with three placements.
  • Where? Training at the Kaderschule in Winterthur or Zurich, internship at the headquarters in Zurich Oerlikon.
  • When? Your training will start in February.
  • Why? Within 24 months, we will turn you into a certified business economist.
  • How? You will be supervised personally by a mentor throughout the entire internship.

Young Insurance Professional VBV

Requirement: High school graduation certificate or equivalent vocational qualification

  • Who? For high school graduates who want to enter the exciting and innovative world of insurance.
  • What? Three placements in the insurance environment. In parallel, one or two days of classroom training per month.
  • Where? Internship at the headquarters in Zurich Oerlikon or at the regional headquarters in Lausanne. Attend college in Basel, Zurich or Yverdon-les-Bains.
  • When? Your training starts in September and lasts 18 months.
  • Why? After passing the exam, you will be certified as an Young Insurance Professional VBV.
  • How? You will be supervised personally by a mentor throughout the entire internship.

Get ahead in the business world

Zurich is happy to support its employees – both in education and in the workplace. That’s why many graduates choose to pursue their careers with us. You will find plenty of other opportunities for further training – for example at a technical insurance school (HFV), a university of applied sciences, or a university.

Information event

Did you graduate from a vocational college or from high school and are you interested in our educational offering? Would you like to meet people who work at Zurich? Then why not attend one of our information events in March or November. Each of these afternoons lasts from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and involves a presentation about our exciting apprenticeships.
