Your application at Zurich: Step by step to success

Find out all you need to know about our application process and receive valuable tips and tricks for submitting a successful application to Zurich Switzerland.

Step 1: Your initial contact

To apply for a work trial with Zurich, please contact your job coach or reintegration specialist. We work exclusively with the cantonal DI offices of Zurich, St. Gallen, Ticino and Vaud. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any direct applications.

Step 2: Your application

Your job coach will get in touch with the relevant DI office in order to review your application. If a suitable position is found, submit your application and your current resume with just a few clicks through our online job portal.

Step 3: Introduction interviews

We will review your application. If you are shortlisted, we will invite you to the interviews. Here you will have the opportunity to learn more about Zurich, the position, and your future team. Depending on the role, the interviews may vary.

Step 4: Decision and onboarding.

We will communicate our decision to you by telephone.  

If both sides are a "yes," we look forward to welcoming you as our new Zurich team member!

Step 2: Reviewing your profile

Together with your job coach, you will review the current opportunities at Zurich to see if there are any openings that match your skills and experience.

Step 3: Your application

If you find a suitable role, submit your application and current resume with just a few clicks through our Job Portal.

Step 4: interviews

If you are shortlisted, we will invite you to interviews. Here you will have the opportunity to find out more about Zurich, the role and your future team. Depending on the role, the interviews may take different forms.

Step 5: Decision and onboarding

We will communicate our decision to you by telephone. If successful, you will receive a binding offer. 

If you accept, we look forward to welcoming you as our new Zurich team member! A personalized onboarding program will support you in the run-up to your first day at work.

Ensure the right point of contact

The first stage of the application process begins with one of our three partner organizations. Please get in touch directly with the DI office of the relevant social insurance institution (Zurich, St. Gallen, Vaud, Ticino), the Athletes Network or Powercoders. We cannot accept any direct applications for the time being. 

Take note of the information in the job advertisement

We formulate our job advertisements as clearly and precisely as possible to ensure that you can get a good idea of what tasks and requirements will be expected of you. This is intended to make the application process as simple as possible for you.

Refine your resume

For your application, we only need your resume - so the content should be optimally tailored to your application. Make sure your resume is well-organized and clearly structured. Highlight relevant experiences and qualifications that emphasize your suitability for a position or assignment. 

Prepare yourself for the first interview

Learn about Zurich Switzerland and the specific position, for example on LinkedIn and zurich.ch. Consider which examples from your professional career best illustrate your skills and successes. Prepare questions you would like to ask the interviewer. At Zurich, your potential and personality are at the forefront: Show us who you are and what makes you unique.
