Zurich is promoting sustainable mobility

Zurich is backing customer demand for sustainable mobility. With the eco-bonus for electric cars and the Z Volt flat rate charging app, Zurich is making the switch to e-mobility easier.

Electric vehicles will play a central role in tomorrow's mobility. Zurich is already supporting the switch. Anyone who insures an electric car or a plug-in hybrid vehicle with Zurich will benefit from an eco-bonus (reduction of the annual premium).

With E-Mobility Protect, it is also possible to insure the charging infrastructure for the electric vehicle, as well as financial losses if the charging card is lost. E-Mobility Protect also offers protection against operating errors when charging the battery and deep discharge.

"When it comes to climate protection, simple solutions are required. With our solutions, we are making the switch much easier," says René Harlacher, Chief Underwriting Officer and Member of Executive Management of Zurich Switzerland.

This also includes the charging app Z Volt. With it, electric car owners can charge their vehicle at all charging stations of Zurich's partners throughout Switzerland at a flat rate. The network of charging stations is one of the largest in Switzerland. There are no hidden charges or subscription costs. Zurich motor vehicle insurance is not required in order to benefit from the offer. This makes Z Volt a charging app for everyone.

MyWay – car insurance for infrequent drivers

Promoting sustainable mobility also includes rewarding those who don't drive much but still want to enjoy optimal protection. Zurich's MyWay - a car insurance with a mileage-based premium invoice - is the first product of its kind on the market. Since it is a digital product, it is another step towards paperless communication. In addition, MyWay customers can offset their CO2 emissions via the autoSense app.

With our solutions, we are making the switch to electric cars much easier.
