What you offer

  • You are enrolled at a university or university of applied sciences
  • Your course of study aligns with your chosen role
  • You have excellent German skills (C1–C2); other foreign language skills are highly advantageous

Step 1: Your online application

Visit our Job Portal to discover our working student positions. Find out which roles are a good fit for your qualifications. Submit your application, your current resume and proof of enrollment in just a few clicks online.

Step 2: Your application review

We will assess how well your profile matches the role requirements. Within 2–3 weeks, you will receive a response from us on whether we will invite you for an interview. If it takes longer, we will let you know.

Step 3: Your in-person interview

If you have been shortlisted, your potential future manager will invite you to a virtual introduction interview. Here you can tell us about yourself and learn more about Zurich, the team and the role.

Step 4: Your HR interview

If both sides are interested, you will have a second interview with your designated talent acquisition consultant Depending on the role, the content and structure of the interview may vary.

Step 5: Decision and onboarding

We will communicate our decision to you by telephone. If successful, you will receive a binding offer. 

If you accept, we look forward to welcoming you as our new Zurich team member! 

A personalized onboarding program will support you in the run-up to your first day at work.

Our trainee positions are in extremely high demand. Unfortunately, due to the large number of applications, the majority of these are rejected. Don't be disappointed if you are not successful on your first attempt. Perhaps you will join us later in a different role.

The Zurich Trainee Program

Our modular program gives you the option of gaining insights into other operational and strategic roles alongside your chosen area within 18 months.

  • Thanks to a flexible working environment and your chosen hours (between 80 and 100 percent of full-time hours), you have enough time for family, exercise or studies

If both sides are interested, there will be a second interview. You will get to know your future team and former trainees. This will give you a comprehensive insight into your tasks. We may also arrange a case study with you. This will allow you to show us your skills and ensure that you are the perfect fit for the role.

Step 5: Your decision and our decision

We will communicate our decision to you by telephone. If successful, you will receive a binding offer.
